Day 1 Departure and Arrival
As the plane took off, i got further and further away from the expanse of little yellow lights that is my city.
I have left the small unit in the Western part of Singapore where my ever-worrying mother is.
I have left the little red dot.
---
I took the subway from Incheon Airport to Seoul.
After a couple of stops, the empty train started to fill up with people heading to work.
As people came and went, it dawned on me that i have stumbled upon an intricate tapestry of lives that i have absolutely no understanding of.
As much as i desire to step into their world, i can't.
My inability to understand their language thickens the barrier between us.
I am but another tourist.
I am insignificant.
I am invisible.
Aside from this, the taste of freedom of exploration is overwhelming.
If i could explode in a cacophony of emotions, i would.
I would jump and cry.
I would run and scream.
This is real, albeit only for a mere 58 days.
Ah, the agony...
It is only the start but the end already seems so near.
This trip will definitely be unforgettable.
